Eunice had her upper secondary education in SMK St. Mary, Sandakan, and qualified with an Honours degree in Law from the University of London in year 2000. Upon completing her law degree, she chambered under Mr Arthur Wang in year 2002 and was admitted to the Malaysia Bar in October, 2003. She was designated as a Legal Assistant during her chambering period and was assigned to complete many legal drafting assignments including summons, writ of summons, summary judgments, amendment applications, injunction applications, intervening applications, defence matters, applications for stay of proceedings and winding up petitions.
With exposure and knowledge acquired in litigation, she then joined Messrs Jeff Leong, Poon & Wong as a Legal Assistant in year 2005 till 2007 where she was exposed to corporate litigation and gained substantial exposure to corporate disputes. Eunice has also advised her Clients on the importance of agreements being drafted such that they minimize the risk of disputes in future.
After that, she set up her own firm which is known as Messrs Eunice Tan & Partners towards end of year 2007. From there, she ventured into handling property agreements and commercial advisory work. During her sole proprietorship, she was the legal advisor on a retainer basis for Vietnam Airlines in Malaysia for three (3) years. She advised them substantively on aviation law and on disputes pertaining to landlord-tenant issues.
In December 2010, she merged with Messrs Arthur Wang, Lian & Associates and she was the conveyancing and corporate partner of the firm. Under her leadership in the firm, she handled projects from year 2010 to 2011 involving a number of developers. In December 2011 she recommenced her own firm under the name of Messrs Eunice Tan & Partners and focused more specifically on challenges and opportunities in the property market, conveyancing, green energy and arbitration matters.
Eunice has the passion in drafting and advising on commercial and corporate agreements including but not limited to sale and purchase agreements, deed of mutual covenants for commercial projects, mixed development projects, residential projects, project management agreements, property management agreements, licensing agreements, franchise agreements, sale of shares agreements, partnership agreements, joint venture agreements, settlement agreements, loan agreements, partnership agreements, power purchase agreements on Solar and many other forms of business arrangements between the parties. She sees the spirit and risks laid in each of the agreements whereby every agreement needs to be tailor-made for her customers. Thus far, most of her clientele are from the property development industry, food and beverage industry and SME companies.
Eunice also has her passion in participating more actively in the strata management and GST segments wherein she believes there may be more loop holes that need to be addressed and she views law as a creative discipline which is certainly far from being a dry subject.
Apart from her ongoing practice, she has been appointed as the legal advisor for the new launching of “Ai-Beauty” magazine and “Top Leader” magazine. She has also written several legal articles for Press & Media Publications such as The Star newspaper and Property Insight magazine with the mission to create awareness about the important legal matters for the public including, but not limited to property matters and the fundamental elements in law and has been featured as a Speaker in local Workshops wherein she has also provided legal tips for newly formed businesses as well as assisted in creating a brand through “legal makeovers” to restructure the legal framework especially for startup companies. She has also been regularly involved in the Star Property section of “Ask Me Anything” and conducted Facebook live sessions with the Star in year 2018.
Throughout Eunice’s years in the legal industry, she has seen the potential of the property industry in Malaysia as well as in the international market. With her professionalism, experience and passion in the related fields, her expertise would certainly complement the services offered by her law firm.
Recently she ventured into the international market by assisting Hong Kong and China Clients to participate in due diligence and advisory work for mergers and acquisitions of local companies inclusive of Karrie International Holdings Limited, Hong Kong and are exploring opportunities in the international market as well.
She has been featured in commercial advisory work with the listed company of Datasonic Group Berhad and IMAN since year 2013 and has also ventured into the strata management area.
Since 2013, she has also been involved in Fiabci Malaysia as an International Young Member and is in the Sponsorship Committee under the new Mentoring Programme, as initiated by the Fiabci Malaysia International Young Committee. She is also appointed by the President of Malaysian Hairdresssing Association as the honourary legal advisor from year 2018 to 2020. She is also appointed as the Group Legal Adviser for DMG Global (Asia) Sdn Bhd in year 2018 which is a leading strategic consultant in America.
TAN SRI ZAINI BIN OMAR was born on 9th of July 1949. He went on to complete his studies, among others, at St John’s Institution Kuala Lumpur, the Royal Military College, Sungai Besi, and the James Cook University of North Queensland, Australia and in 1974, he obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree.
In 1985, he obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of London.
In 1986, he obtained his Professional Engineer status.
In 1988 he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor.
From year 2000 to 2005, he was President of the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia and a Fellow of the Construction & Industry Development Board (CIDB) and was also conferred an Honorary PhD by University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia.
Tan Sri Zaini started his career in the Public Works Department (JKR) as an electrical engineer, serving from 1975 to 1989.
From 1990 to 1994, he was seconded to the Department of Electricity Supply (JBE), ending up as their Deputy Director General.
From 1995 to 1999, he was the Director General the of Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCA). He supervised and helped to manage the construction of KLIA and he was also responsible for stabilising the DCA (which was in turmoil for many years prior to his stewardship). He is widely accredited with transforming the DCA from a sluggish and indifferent department into a vibrant and superbly efficient agency. The General Aviation sector was at it’s peak and highly respected, during his tenure as the Director General of DCA.
In the year 2000, he returned to JKR as its Deputy Director General 1. In October the same year, he was promoted to the post of Director General. After leading JKR to become a respected organization, he finally retired in 2005.
He was subsequently appointed as the first Chairman of Suruhanjaya Pengurusan Air Negara- SPAN, the water regulatory body.
He was also appointed as the Head of The Special Unit for Overseas Projects at the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (EPU) from 2006 to 2009.
Tan Sri Zaini has also been granted the status of a Certified Arbitrator as well as a Certified Mediator with the ASIAN INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE since year 2018 and renewed for the term for year 2021-2024.
Tan Sri Zaini, is therefore, uniquely positioned, competent and well versed in the Electricity Sector, the Aviation Sector, the Water Supply Industry, Construction Sector and in the Public Works Sector.
Among his hobbies are flying light aircrafts, scuba diving, horse riding and shooting.
Ms LEE KAR LAI, JASMINE is an LL.B (Hons) graduate from the University of Wolverhampton and was called to the Malaysian Bar in February 2000 after having completed the Certificate of Legal Practice examinations.
She read in the chambers of Messrs Dorairaj, Low & Teh and subsequently joined the firm of Messrs Ten & Colin as a Legal Assistant.
In Messrs Ten & Colin, she gained valuable experience in corporate conveyancing experience in handling joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements and franchise business agreements. She also has extensive general conveyancing experience in handling loan documentation, sub-sale transactions and housing projects.
She has handled the loan documentation with various financial institutions such as Malayan Banking Berhad, RHB Bank, Hong Leong Bank Berhad, Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad, EON Bank Berhad and Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad.
She also has hands-on experience in development project works including for the Palm Grove project.

Sri Norsyahiza had her professional certificate in Drafting in Mechanical Engineering from IKMKL in year 2004. Upon completing her studying, she had become a draughtsman in a private company at Kuala Lumpur for two (2) years. However, due to some circumstances, she had changed her field from draughtsman to legal secretary and was designated as a Conveyancing Secretary, during her experienced with aforementioned law firm, she was assigned to complete many legal drafting assignments including drafting the Sale and Purchase Agreement in variation transaction such as direct developer, sub-sale, etc. Other than conveyancing matter, she had also got an opportunity to learn the litigation section and was assigned to prepare summons, writ of summons, execution proceedings and also foreclosure proceedings.
With exposure and knowledge acquired in Conveyancing and Litigation, she then joined current firm , Messrs Eunice Tan & Partners as a para legal in year 2019, where she was exposed to corporate matter, commercial advisory work and gained substantial exposure to corporate disputes. Dedicated and detail-oriented paralegal with over 10 years of experience supporting attorneys in a variety of legal practice areas.
